The Lions are fortunate to have three highly skilled and respected chefs from our local area to assist in the judging or our Meatball Throwdown. In no particular order, here they are!

The Coppola family restaurants (Femmina, Tarantella, and Chianti) are noted for the cuisine passed down by their father Salvatore from Naples Bay, Italy and Brooklyn, NY restaurants to his sons Franco and Anthony. Franco merges his professionally trained culinary skills with generations of family tastes and seasonings to create the dishes we all love!
Head Baker and Owner of Maria’s Moms Italian Bakery in Marlton.
Maria is a force of Nature. She created her business directly from her heart and her relationship with her Mom, Mary Lyn. The tradition of Christmas cookie baking is very strong in many households, as family love and connection is the real product of these events with the delicious cookies being the wonderful by product. Maria has spread this to the community with Bake Camps for Kids, Buddy the Elf bake at home boxes that can have a special delivery person! Maria’s Bakery has been visited by NBC10, Fox News and Action News and her famous Pignoli cookies made it to gift bags at the Emmys!
Steve is an accomplished Executive Chef with items on his resume like Executive Chef/Manager at FLIK-Philadelphia Eagles, Executive Chef and Manager for the Compass Eurest Group and is currently Food Service Director for SAGE dining services. Steve received his Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts degree from Johnson and Wales University. He is a Medford resident where he happily lives with his wife Alicia and their 2 boys, Cody and Cade.
